What a f***ing year, am I right?

For many people, myself included, 2023 was the biggest clusterf*ck of a year. Almost everything that was planned fell through in one way or another and I played catch up with the rest. I have no idea how I managed to pull through it, but dammit I’m here and I’m ready to kick 2024 in the ass!

But what does that even mean?

The more things change…

Call it an early life crisis, or a momentary bout of insanity, but one day I woke up and decided I hated everything and needed a change. I’ve been writing professionally since the early 00s and managed to keep much of the same branding, writing style, and approach to my work all these years later. What the hell was wrong with me?

After the rights to my Legacy of Secrets series were returned to me from my previous publisher, I’d decided to publish independently once more with the intention of completing the series, but nothing quite seemed to work. Instead, I wrote Falling Undercover, a romantic suspense novel, which was quite different from my other work and a fun departure from the rut I’d found myself in. I wrote some other small works, such as Thea’s Reawakening, but still hadn’t found the right way to complete my series.

What did I do, you ask?

Not a damn thing. It took me about a year and half (and many tears) to decide I needed to completely redo everything. I needed a fresh start entirely. My life had changed so much over the last several years while my publishing career remained stagnant. It’s no wonder I felt so disconnected! Some fabulous writer friends helped me hash out some of the basics and I hit the ground running, which led me to Night Land Media and the decision to reboot my career.

So, here we are! I’m stoked you’re along for the ride with me and can’t wait to share all of the stellar plans I have for the next year (and then some).

Inspired by the characters and events of Legacy of Secrets, comes a brand new take on the saga in the first installment to a new series by Lisa Logue. The Awakening of Fate & Ruin is the new debut with a fall 2024 release.

• Based on the events of Cursed Secrets: Legacy of Secrets #1.

• The main characters have remained the same, but involvement in the plot has changed.

• Expanded world building with new magic system and ancient lore.

• Some tropes: found family, will they/won’t they, forced proximity, healing trauma (more to come!)

• Triggers: please note this is a dark romantasy/dark paranormal romance. There is blood play, SA, implied SA, language, sex, and other adult themes. This list is not all encompassing at this time and will be updated in the book’s front matter and on my website.

• This is the first book in the Twisted Fate series, which will likely consist of four novels and four to five novellas upon completion.
